Students must be dressed for every event in: Black Socks, Dinkles, Red AF Band T-shirt, Marching Jacket & Pants, Sash/Belt, and Band Hat.
Uniform Fittings
Uniform fittings take place each summer prior to the 4th of July Parade. At this time, incoming Freshman are fitted for their first band uniform, and all upperclassmen are refitted for their uniform.
Uniform Costs
Marching Jackets & Pants, Line Jackets & Skirts, Band Hats, and Raincoats are provided to students by the Fitch Band Program for each season. Uniform Agreement Forms must be completed, as students are liable for replacement costs if the items are not returned or are in such poor condition that they are rendered unusable. Estimated replacement costs are listed on the Austintown Band Uniform Agreement form.
When a student initially joins the band, they must purchase the following applicable items via the Austintown Band Uniform Agreement form and payment to the Austintown Band Parents Club, Inc. ABP Club will order all items and distribute during Marching Season.

Storage
Uniforms are stored in the Fitch Band Room, including Marching Jackets & Pants, Line Jackets & Skirts, and Band Hats/Berets. These items may only be taken home in the case of an exception due to hemming.
Uniform pieces that should be stored by the band member at home are: Embroidered Drawstring Bag, Red AF Band T-shirt, Dinkles/Boots.

Dry Cleaning
Dry cleaning is arranged by the Austintown Band Parents Club, Inc. Uniforms will be cleaned by Manhattan Cleaners once in September, once at end of the marching season and once at the end of the year. All uniforms are covered under our dry cleaners insurance policy.
A dry cleaning fee of $40.00 is due each year (this fee is subject to change). Dry Cleaning form (upperclassmen) or Austintown Band Uniform Agreement form (freshman) must be submitted with payment.

Uniforms FAQ
What if my marching pants or line skirt needs hemmed?
Band members are responsible for informing the uniform adviser who will schedule the alterations with Manhattan Cleaners. All costs associated with hemming must be covered by the band member.
What if I spill a significant amount of food or drink on my uniform or fall in the mud and there is not a scheduled dry cleaning before our next performance?
First, inform a Uniform Adviser. Then, the Uniform Advisor and/or the Band Directors will give you permission to take the uniform from the school to be dry cleaned at your own expense.
What do I do if I lose a piece of my uniform, such as boot tassels, bag, beret (etc.)?
Replacement pieces can be ordered through the Uniform Chairperson using the Austintown Band Uniform Agreement form. Replacement costs are listed on this form. The only exception is the Red AF Band T-shirt, which you can purchase from our Jones and Associates Store.
Can I switch my uniform or a piece of my uniform with a friend (if it will fit better)?
Band members may never, ever switch pieces of the uniform with any other member unless instructed to by a Uniform Adviser.
